Working with cultural partners – all day event, 12th May 2017
April 12th, 2017
Working on research with partners from the cultural industries has the potential to provide many mutual benefits. This workshop will help you to explore how to get the best out of a partnership with a cultural organisation and gain an understanding of the opportunities, issues and challenges.
You’ll hear from, and join discussions with, a panel of experts from the cultural industries who will join you in discussion groups. Confirmed speakers are Roger McKinley (FACT), Kerry Harker (Co-founder The Tetley and PhD student FAHACS), Sharon Gill (CEO ROAR,) Lesley Patrick (DARE), Daniel Cutmore (Arts Council England) and Sue Hayton (Leeds University Cultural Institute).
The day starts with registration from 09.00 – 09.30 and concludes at 15.30, with an opportunity for networking at the end. There will also be time set aside to reflect on your own personal development in light of what you learn about collaboration and to start your own personal action plan for developing the skills necessary for successfully working with cultural organisations. The workshop is free of charge and lunch is included.
Suitable for PGRs, postdoctoral researchers and early career teaching fellows.
