PhD researchers come to Leeds from different countries and different backgrounds. That’s why we’ve put in place our PhD Success pathway. It contains lots of workshops to help you at all stages of your research degree; you’re free to choose what you need, when you need it. This pathway offers three stages:
The first year of your research – this stage covers what it means to do a research degree, how to search the literature, and how to prepare for your transfer/upgrade. Click here for a list of courses.
Carrying out your research – this stage covers the use of project management techniques to plan and manage your research, networking and professional and methodological skills. Click here for a list of courses.
The final stages of your research – this stage covers the final stages of your research and thesis, and preparing for your Viva. Click here for a list of courses.
The LEAP Skills team is committed to helping every PhD researcher get the most from their time at Leeds. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any comments or questions.
